Pink Soft Coral – A Formal Scientific Designation

In January, 2012, Volume 16, Issue 1, with Pauline Riding’s image, the pink soft coral appeared in the Critter Corner feature. At the time, this animal (CN38, page 91, in Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest) was believed to be a species but was awaiting scientific designation. As of April, 2013, the pink soft coral is officially and formally catalogued.
