Treasure Hunt 2012
Treasure Hunt hits the beach in Tacoma –don't miss your CHANCE TO WIN BIG!
Divers will plunge for prizes at the largest Treasure Hunt in the Pacific Northwest in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday, April 22 at 10 a.m. (time changed from 9 am to 10 am due to tides) Held on Sunday morning, Pacific Northwest divers will storm Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park for all the action and prizes Treasure Hunt offers. The ninth annual dive extravaganza, part of the Northwest Dive & Travel Expo weekend, will attract divers from all over the Northwest. “We work really hard all year to improve our events, and the 2012 Treasure Hunt is no exception” said Event Director and NWDN Publisher Rick Stratton. “This year’s event has many changes which will increase safety and improve the fun at the event.” “Our prizes this year are outstanding! In addition to the Treasure Chest filled with $1,000 CASH, divers can have a chance to win wetsuits, drysuits, regulators, trips and more.
In keeping with the success of last year's event, the Treasure Hunt is still on Sunday Morning! The change was successful last year, and gave us better conditions, a better opportunity to be more organized, as well as gave those coming up for the Treasure Hunt a chance to visit the Dive & Travel Expo show floow on Saturday. "Divers can focus on the dive and attend the show on Sunday to pick up their prizes." Stratton said, “Divers will be able to dive for treasure at 9 a.m. and then go to the Convention Center at noon or later to pick up their prizes.” All the prizes will be awarded at the Convention Center. All prizes must be claimed during the weekend. We have improved the process of how prizes are awarded and while based on diver skills, the actual prize awarded is random. Contestants must pick up their prizes at the Expo on Sunday 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. |
