Ocean Pro Divers, from Surrey, British Columbia recently took 18 divers to Belize’s Thatch Caye Resort. They reported fantastic conditions. Owner “Shaz” Kozak said they had over 100 feet of visibility on every dive with lots of eagle ray and turtle sighting. They certified two new open water divers on the trip. They also participated in Thatch Caye’s first lionfish culling at the resort. “We used (REEF) Reef Environmental Education Foundation material to do a seminar about how to conduct the training, then conducted training, then conducted a successful hunt. We celebrated with Lionfish ceviche!” she exclaimed.
